Collection: Apatite 磷灰石

Apatite was first described by geologist Abraham Gottlob in 1786. The name Apatite comes from the Greek word “to deceive” because it is easy to mistake for other minerals.

Apatite refers to a group of closely-related phosphate minerals. Apatite can be found in the colours yellow, green, grey, blue, white, purple, brown, red-brown and violet. Apatite is most often a Fluorapatite.
